We buy our beans from Puro Coffee. They’re trailblazers in the European coffee market, working with the World Land Trust to buy and protect some of the world’s most biologically distinct and threatened habitats.
This means that, since we’ve been working with Puro, we’ve managed to save over 600 acres of rainforest just by making you coffee. That’s an area bigger than the Principality of Monaco. And, with their, help, we’ve bought Leon de Montana, an 86 acre – more than 65 football fields – mountain forest reserve in Honduras, where our coffee is grown.
When it comes to our coffee, we’re not just interested in sustainability where it’s grown, we care about it here as well. That’s why we offer a 45p discount every time you bring in your reusable cup for your coffee. That’s why we’re trialing recycling anyone’s disposable cups, not just the ones with our name on it.
We give the milk in your coffee just as much attention. Our cows’ milk comes from the Calon Wen organic co-operative in Wales. And our non-dairy milks – organic oat, made from gluten-free oats, full of fiber and completely allergen free. Or pay a little extra (45p) and try our Rude Health Coconut milk-alternative, a creamy texture full of coconut oils, particularly tasty with hot chocolate.
So, when you buy your cuppa Joe from us, you can be confident that you’re not only getting a damn fine cup of coffee–one made with the best of ingredients, you’re also doing your bit for the planet too.
