It’s our 15th birthday this summer.
That means 15 years of Naturally Fast Food, 15 years of serving you and learning what your ‘regular’ is, and 15 years of finding new ways to make plants taste good.
Meet Jack Wings — cheesy vegan jackfruit nuggets in a gluten-free and golden crumb. After last summer’s blockbuster GFC, Gluten-Free Chicken Nuggets, we wanted to create an equally delicious plant-based alternative. We wanted to make something that was just as craveable and that has a flavour in its own right, not a chicken substitute. We wanted to make plant-based food taste unlike anything we’d ever tried before, and herald a wave of other vegan dishes that take food to the next level.
And, for dipping and dunking and drizzling, this season we’re also introducing Thom’s BBQ Sauce. A few weeks ago we launched a ‘crowdsaucing’ campaign and asked which sauce you’d like to see on our menu. Aside from a few murmurings of ‘garlic, please!’ (already serve it) and ‘peri-naise!’ (wrong brand, folks), BBQ was the strong winner. The people’s choice. The nation’s sweetheart. And Thom’s recipe. Thom works in our food team, also the author of our Urban Farmer blogs and his BBQ sauce is as sweet as he is, and just a little bit smokier.
