2 parsley roots (or parsnip)
1 small celery root
3 big potatoes
2 eggs
1 small onion
4 sour cucumbers (or gherkins)
green peas and sweetcorn (optional)
salt, pepper

Why did Antek make this dish?

Because this is a traditional Polish dish for Christmas

How to make Polish Christmas vegetable salad

Peel carrots, parsley and celery and wash potatoes.
Put all in a big pan and cook until soft.
Boil eggs for 5 minutes.
Let it all cool, peel the potatoes and eggs and dice all into small cubes.
Dice onion into very small pieces and mix all together.
Season with salt and pepper and 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise.
Dress the salad with green peas and sweetcorn.
