How does it work?

Sign up to our Vegan Subscription and get 30% off all vegan dishes, drinks, coffees and cakes at LEON for £6 a month. Enjoy your first two weeks of 30% off for free.

  1. If you haven't got a Smart Order account yet, make sure to create one with the same email address you've used to purchase your subscription.
  2. Order here, on Smart Order and log into your account.
  3. Add some vegan dishes, drinks, coffees or cakes to your cart, plus anything else you fancy.
  4. Select a collection time - this can be for immediate collection, or at any 5-minute interval throughout the day.
  5. The discount will automatically be applied to your basket at checkout providing you are logged in and have an active subscription. If you’ve added anything else to your basket, you can also pay for it at this screen.
  6. Collect and enjoy

What's included?

You can use your vegan subscription for any plant-based dish on our menu.

At breakfast, that means:

  • Ruby Red Porridge with Activated Almond Milk
  • Banana & Cinnamon Porridge with Activated Almond Milk
  • Mushroom & Cheeze Sourdough Muffin

And at lunch, that means:

  • Brazilian Black Beans
  • LOVe Burger (GF versions too)
  • Fries (Regular & Large)
  • Cheezy Loaded Fries
  • Seasonal Veg + Grilled Aubergine
  • Slaw

And the Bits in Between:

It can also be used across our coffee menu, as well as on drinks and smoothies.

How many vegan dishes can I buy?

There is a £30 transaction limit per order.


That means your total basket cannot come to more than £30, and we will discount 30% on any plant-based dishes within your basket at the checkout, if you are logged into your account and have a active aubscription. You will only receive the discount on vegan dishes; any other items in your basket which are not vegan will not be discounted.

How much does the subscription cost?

The first two weeks are free, and then £6 a month.

When will I be billed each month?

After your two-week trial period ends you will be billed £6, and £6 every month thereafter unless you cancel or pause your subscription.


You can find the renewal date on the subscription email that was sent to you when you started your subscription.


The billing cycle is monthly from the date your two-week trial period ends, and you will be charged on the same date each month. For example, if you purchase your subscription on 17th January you will next be billed on 17th February.


If your billing date is not present in a month (say, the 31st) then the preceding date is selected (e.g. the 30th). The renewal shifts back to the original date in the next month.


Can friends and family use the same subscription?

Each subscription is exclusive to an individual’s Smart Order account, so cannot be shared. However you can use your subscription for an order up to £30, meaning you can treat your friends and family.

How do I redeem the offer in restaurant?

  1. Go to Smart Order, our online click-and-collect platform.
  2. If you haven’t already, create an account. Note that the email address associated with your account must be the same as the email address you used to purchase the subscription.
  3. Add some vegan dishes, drinks, coffees or cakes to your cart, plus anything else you fancy.
  4. Select a collection time - this can be for immediate collection, or at any 5-minute interval throughout the day.
  5. At checkout, use code VEGAN to get 30% off any plant-based dishes and drinks from your basket.
  6. If you’ve added anything else to your basket, you can also pay for it at this screen.
  7. Collect and enjoy.

I can't find my subscription email

Please check your spam and junk folders. If you still can’t find it, drop Aaron and Nichola a note here and they’ll help you out.

Can I use my subscription with a delivery partner?

Sorry, no. The vegan subscription only works for in-restaurant collection and takeaway.

How do I pause my subscription?

To pause your subscription payments for a month, please visit Manage Account. Log into your account and click ‘pause my payments.’ Your subscription will be valid until the end of your subscription month (your billing date) after which we will pause your account for 31 days. You can unpause to start redeeming drinks again any time within that 31 days, and your new subscription will start from that date. Otherwise your subscription will begin again once the 31 days have passed.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at the Manage Account page.


Remember you need to cancel at least a day before your renewal date. Please refer to your most recent subscription email to check your renewal date.


If you cancel part way through the month, your subscription will continue to run until the end of the month. We won’t take any payments after that.

My local LEON doesn't have Smart Order, can I still use the vegan subscription there?

Our vegan subscription is only available at participating restaurants. It is not available in LEON Motorway Services, Euston, Kings Cross, Stansted, Eurotunnel, Heathrow T2 and Cheshire Oaks.

Can I get a refund if I cancel part of the way through the month?

No. If you cancel your subscription part of the way through the month it will continue to run until your renewal date. You can read our Terms & Conditions here.

Can I purchase a subscription for someone else?

Subscriptions are linked to the email address you send your confirmation email to. If you send the confirmation email and receipt to the person you’re buying it for then the subscription will work on their Smart Order account.


At the moment we don’t have a gift card available for subscriptions.


How do I renew my subscription?

Your subscription will auto-renew each month. The monthly fee will be charged to the payment details you provided when you first signed up.

How do I change my payment details?

At the Manage Account page.

I don't have a smart phone, can I still use the vegan subscription?

To use our vegan subscription you need to place your order through Smart Order, our web-based click-and-collect platform. So long as you have access to an internet browser to place your order, you can use the subscription.

Can I use the subscription on top of other discounts or meal deals?

No, you cannot use the subscription on top of any other discounts or meal deals. This includes meal deal bundles such as our Breakfast Meal Deal, as well as discounts like our Student Discount or Emergency Services Discount.

Does the vegan subscription work with your loyalty scheme?

Smart Order loyalty gives you 1 point for every £1 spent. Save 20 points and enjoy a coffee on us.


At the moment orders that include a vegan subscription discount code do not work with our loyalty scheme, but we’re working to fix this. Once fixed, you will still accrue 1 point per £1 spent, which means you will get points on the discounted price rather than the full price of any vegan item.

Lockdown

Due to changing lockdown tiers we are aware that some of you might not be able to use your subscription as often as you intended. If you purchase a subscription and restrictions change, and you no longer want your vegan subscription, please get in touch with Aaron and Nichola here.
