You can use any milk alternative you like here, maybe unsweetened almond milk if you are watching your macros. But, for a treat at the weekend, this shake is best with vanilla milk. Think your childhood Nesquik, for your adult-self.
The cinnamon is optional but may help level out the blood glucose spike after the natural sugars in the milk.
INGREDIENTS:
- ½ banana
- 100ml brewed LEON coffee – we recommend the Dark Roast for this recipe
- 250ml Vanilla Oat Milk (you can use any milk you like here)
- 1 tablespoon of flaxseed
- 30g vegan protein powder (optional, we use Innermost ‘Health’)
- ½ teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
- Ice
